After six months of silence, we are so pleased to be able to welcome our singers back for St. Edmund's Choir rehearsals!
Beginning again on Sunday 20 September, our rehearsals will be a bit different from what we're used to with extra measures in place to keep everyone safe but our music will keep us smiling.
The new measures that we have had to put in place follow the guidelines set out by the UK Government as well as extra measures that Making Music and Archdiocese of Liverpool guidelines. A full risk assessment is available below.
These include making use of the church rather than our usual rehearsal room which is much more airy and has more ventilation, 2m social distance with a reduced capacity for the space, additional equipment to avoid sharing and a one way system. We will also be following the NHS Test and Trace system. In addition to all of this, our Support Team will be on hand to help guide singers and ensure thorough cleaning of the space after use.
We're also welcoming new members so if you wish to join (for free!), please drop us a message or an email (charlie@semusic.org.uk) so we can give you all the information you need ahead of coming to a rehearsal.
One of the main reasons we want to get back singing is so that we can provide Christmas music as we move towards that time of year; we don't yet know what format this will be in but we are confident that we will be able to bring some form of Christmas event to you.
Additional guidance and plans for the return of #LoveToSing rehearsals will be shared in the coming weeks.
