Charlie Corkin trained as an organist under Richard Lea, Organist for Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral and has been organist at St. Edmund's, Waterloo since 2010, later becoming Director of Music in 2017.

In 2015, Charlie was appointed as Chorister Recruitment Officer for Manchester Cathedral where he launched a year-long outreach programme engaging hundreds of young people on a weekly basis across Greater Manchester.  As a result, the previous disbanded Manchester Children's Choir was formed.

Over the years, Charlie has had the pleasure of performing in venues across the UK and Europe, including both Liverpool Cathedral, Barcelona Cathedral, La Madeleine (Paris) and Durham Cathedral.  He has also featured on local and national radio and television broadcasts including Songs of Praise and Sky News.

In addition to the musical direction of SEMusic, Charlie is also responsible for the day-to-day running and ensuring the organisation lives up to its vision, mission and values.  He is passionate about making the arts accessible to all - regardless of ability, experience or financial income.

The success of the inclusivity was recognised at the Liverpool ECHO Awards where SEMusic was a finalist in the Arts and Performance Category.  Charlie was also chosen as one of Liverpool ONE's Community Heroes of 2020 for enabling SEMusic to continue to connect with singers, #LoveToSingers and audiences throughout the pandemic.

Away from SEMusic, Charlie works in the culture and heritage sector and has held a number of roles within museums and galleries across the the North-West.
